Psychiatric Evaluation and Management

We believe that everyone deserves to live a fulfilling life and that mental health is a key component of overall well-being.  A psychiatric evaluation is a comprehensive assessment designed to understand an individual’s mental health concerns, medical history, life experiences, and current symptoms. This evaluation helps ensure an accurate diagnosis and the development of a personalized treatment plan that may include therapy, medication, and supportive interventions.

Ongoing psychiatric care is just as important as the initial evaluation. Mental health conditions can change over time, and regular follow-up visits allow providers to monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, manage side effects, and respond to new or evolving concerns. Thoughtful evaluation and continuous review help ensure care remains safe, effective, and aligned with each person’s goals—supporting long-term stability, recovery, and overall well-being.

Medication Management with Kintsugi

Kintsugi providers offer thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric medication management as part of a collaborative, whole-person approach to mental health care. Our experienced clinicians carefully assess, prescribe, and monitor medications to support conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, and ADHD—always with an emphasis on safety, education, and individualized treatment planning.

Kintsugi works closely with therapists, counselors, and primary care providers who do not offer psychiatric medication management as part of their services. Through clear communication, coordinated care plans, and timely updates (with patient consent), we ensure medication treatment complements ongoing therapy and medical care rather than replacing it. This collaborative model allows patients to remain connected to their trusted providers while receiving specialized psychiatric support—creating a seamless, integrated care experience focused on healing, resilience, and long-term stability.

Ketamine-Assisted Therapy

Ketamine-assisted therapy (KAT) is an evidence-informed treatment used to help individuals with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD and trauma-related disorders, severe anxiety, chronic suicidal ideation, and certain chronic pain conditions. Ketamine works differently from traditional antidepressants, rapidly modulating glutamate pathways in the brain to promote neuroplasticity—often providing relief when other treatments have failed.

Because ketamine can alter perception, mood, blood pressure, and consciousness, care must be managed by experienced medical and mental health professionals. Proper screening, dosing, monitoring, and integration therapy are essential to maximize benefits and minimize risks.  Our skilled providers ensure medical safety, address psychological responses during treatment, and help patients integrate insights afterward—transforming ketamine from a medication into a structured, therapeutic intervention rather than a standalone drug.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a safe, non-invasive brain stimulation therapy that uses focused magnetic pulses to gently stimulate specific areas of the brain involved in mood and emotional regulation. TMS is an FDA-cleared and widely used to treat Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD/ADD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and other conditions.  Many patients who’ve struggled with traditional treatments find TMS a valuable option because it targets brain activity directly and can offer improvement without systemic medication side effects.

Unlike surgery or electrical shock therapies, TMS does ot require anesthesia, implants, or cutting the skin, and you stay awake and alert throughout the treatment. During a TMS session, a magnetic coil is placed against your scalp near your forehead. The device delivers short, targeted magnetic pulses that pass through the skull and help activate nerve cells in regions of the brain that may be under-active in conditions like depression.
